Hello and a warm welcome to anyone that visits! I have begun to construct the CREATIVE WRITINGS section of this blog and I gladly invite you to explore it! While I simply can't include everything I've written, incomplete or whole, I'm hoping this collection brings insight to the creative writing process as well as exposure of my own endeavors into the medium.
So you are aware, I consider myself a novice in this area, or an aspiring author if you will. Presenting these excerpts should in no way be taken as braggadocious. I (believe) I am very versatile however in regards to writing style and have delved into various subject matters from children's stories and rhymes, to comedic works, to epic fantasy and horror as well as more adult themes. I'm hoping to illustrate this with the creative writings section and eventually (or hopefully) an ongoing chapter by chapter monthly updated original story.
However, more so than anything, the excerpts presented within are dedicated to anyone who has either successfully or unsuccessfully authored their own stories, either fiction or non. It truly is a remarkable talent to conceive, compile, erect, deconstruct, edit and eventually complete a written work of art to be consumed and enjoyed (or criticized) by a hungry public. These authors have a patience and dedication that we must pay gratitude to, for what would the world be without great stories? This is a journey I have embarked upon and at the time of this telling, I'm yet to realize the ultimate destination.
